FRANKFORT: Daniel Stephen Dreitzler passed from this life unexpectedly on September 19, 2012 at 0SU Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Wilmington, Ohio todJohn Edward and Brenda Maxine (Herman) Dreitzler of Frankfort, Ohio on February 19, 1971. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Steve and Alice Herman, Charles (Sonny) Dreitzler, and Tom co*konougher.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Bernice co*konougher; three siblings and their spouses: Kevin and Wendy (Dreitzler) Case, Mike Dreitzler and partner Marc Coyer, and Doug and Angie (Dreitzler) Proehl. He is also survived by nieces, Sasha, April, and Holly Putnam; nephews, Israel Putnam and Sandy, Eli, Nick and Waylon Proehl; step-niece and nephew, Keyla (Case) Sowers and Kody Case; and his close long-time friend and former partner, Greg Brown. He was loved by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, as well as great-nieces, Bella Corey and Raeley Love and great-nephew, A.J. Corey. Danny graduated as co-valedictorian of Adena High School's class of 1989.

He made many lifelong friends at Adena, and cherished special memories of the musical escapades of Adena's marching band, where both he and the band received numerous top awards in musical excellence. Heaven has added a very talented trumpet player to the heavenly chorus! He graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University with a bachelor's in psychology in 1993. He followed graduation with several years' employment serving the mentally ill and disabled in southern Ohio, and then joined his parents and sister in running the family business, Book World, in Chillicothe. A celebration of life will be held on September 30, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Concord Presbyterian Church, 498 Acton Frankfort (Lattaville), Ohio 45628, with Danny's childhood friend and neighbor, Pastor Todd Thomas, officiating. He was a loving, quiet, free-spirited and generous soul, with an amazingly creative and humorous mind.

He will be sadly missed by family, friends, and his insanely devoted cats, Mitzi and Beau. We love you, Danny! He was born March 29, 1929, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late William and Pearlie Smith Stidham. On April 17, 1973, he married the former Sue Troutman who survives; also surviving are sons, Scott Randall (Tobie) Stidham and Dennis Lee (Patricia) Stidham, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Brittany, a and Brandon Stidham, Vickie Fyffe, Heather Cook and Francine Freeman; five great grandchildren; a brother, Estel Stidham, of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Avery (Charlotte) McCleese, of Mt.
